On water the CBO in partnership with the area administration and County Government charged with the responsibility of enduring that people access clean and save water, it has embarked on a ten year water project where it is liaising with water engineer experts from the county Government to tap the spring waters and have it properly piped to each and every household. This will have far reaching positive effect where we have women relieved of their burden of going to very far distances to fetch water. The CBO is targeting Hundred thousand households (100,000) by the end of the period. Already the CBO has managed to do piping to five hundred homes which the experts use as the piloting and demonstration units before the rest follow awaiting connection to have the water flow.

Gucha Sub-county is privileged to have many active spring with very clean water flowing and from statistics, we have over 300 active springs and each spring has the capacity to serve about fifty homesteads which translates to a total of twenty five thousand (25,000) homesteads or even more.
